Ep 145: You Fool!

"You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is to never get involved in a land war in Asia!"

No, it's not another play through of The Princess Bride board game, instead Eric and Kiwi recreate the German offensive into Russia in 1942, Operation Barbarossa. Kiwi has once again forced a game upon the podcast for work research so they are playing Holdfast: Russia 1941-1942 designed by Grant and Mike Wylie and published by Worthington Publishing, LLC in 2014.

Ep 144: I am Yurt

Kiwi and bP weren't Yurty enough for the Yurtle club, so Kiwi just made a lot of Yurt puns in the show notes that now one will ever see but that he's unabashedly proud of anyway. Kait and Eric stayed in a Yurt, in said Yurt the tried to figure out what some good Yurt Games are. Not games with Yurts ... but if you find one of those please let us know, but games to take to a Yurt if you happen to be staying in a Yurt. See how fun it is to say Yurt? Yurt. Yurt. Yurt. I am Yurt!

Ep 143: Deep Diving Anniversary

We started this podcast 3 years ago. We've made some changes, added a new host, but overall we're still having a lot of fun. This week, we're doing a deep dive into a game that we played for the first time on this podcast way back in Episode 6! We're playing Call to Adventure from Brotherwise Games this week! Designed by Chris and Johnny O'Neal, published in 2019!

Ep 142: Just Like That Time in Med School

How many malpractice suits is too many malpractice suits? This week, Kiwi and bP show off their ‘skills’ as learned doctors as they heal the sick and injured, conduct heart transplants, conduct blood tests, all while running the MRI machine! It’s all in the day’s work in Rush MD! Published in 2020 by Artipia Games and designed by David Turczi, Anthony Howgego, and Konstantinos Kokkinis

Ep 141: Snakes in the Grass

Kiwi was away for work, and Eric wanted a quasi break. Quasi in that he does all the editing and that he was there for technical help during play and recording. So really it was just Kiwi was away. Anyway, it's been too long since a Kait and bP episode so that's what you get this week as they play Meadow. Published in 2021 by Asmodee and designed by Klemens Kalicki!

Ep 140: We’re naught but humble pirates…

... what is it you were wanting exactly? This week we travel to Port Royal where we try to make our fortune. We don't really know if we're pirates or merchants. Does it matter? One person's pirate is another person's privateer! Everyone is back this week for Port Royal, designed by Alexander Pfister and published in 2014 by Pegasus Spiele.

And it's now or never!!! Thanks for the intro Mr. Jovi ... or Mr. Bon Jovi .. That's right, this week bP and Kiwi are going to attempt to 'live while they're alive' while playing Now or Never by Ryan Laukat, published in 2021 by Red Raven Games.

Ep 138: This War of Mine

This episode was recorded a few days after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. There's no 'funny' title or description this week. While there is no discussion of the war on the episode itself, the theme of This War of Mine (designed by Michał Oracz and Jakub Wiśniewski, published by Awaken Realms in 2017) is actively being played out on international news within Ukraine. While a small and seemingly insignificant gesture, the hosts of this podcast condemn the Russian actions within Ukraine and if you are able hope that you can donate in some way, shape, or form to help the Ukrainian people in their time of need.

Ep 137: Insert Funny Title Here

It's been a week, and this episode is late. Kiwi apologizes. He'd like to say it will never happen again, but let's be honest. It will. Insert your own funny title here and let us know what you picked! This week you can join Eric and Kait as they play Terra Mystica, designed by Jens Drögemüller and Helge Ostertag. Published in 2012 by Feuerland Spiele.
